Dive teams are recovering thousands of pounds of trash from Lake Tahoe

A 1970s identification card, a rubber snake, and a Walkman-remember those? That’s just some of the stranger items divers are pulling from Lake Tahoe as they strive to clean up 70 miles of coastline. Scuba teams began trash recovery Wednesday on the east shore and removed more than 8,100 pounds of trash. Efforts began in May with 22.5 miles of coastline covered so far.
