The Caldor Fire, burning near Tahoe, explodes to more than 54,000 acres–that’s eight times larger than it was just the day before. Multiple evacuations have been issued to keep people safe from the swiftly-moving fire, and now two evacuation centers are full. Some structures have been damaged and destroyed and thousands remain threatened. Full containment isn’t expected until the end of the month.
