Four people remain missing as the Dixie Fire continues to ravage communities in Plumas County. All that are missing are from Greenville, a town that has been turned into ashes. Three firefighters have been injured fighting the flames. The fire has taken nearly 600 structures and more than 13,000 structures remain in its path. The fire now spans more than 463,000 and is the largest wildfire in California.
Wildfire smoke and haze from the Dixie Fire is expected to linger in the Reno-Sparks area through at least midweek. The smoke dissipated in the Tahoe Basin and Sierra Front Sunday, but returned today. Air quality levels in Reno-Sparks remain at “unhealthy” levels.
