Washoe County now has 300 cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant, putting in the high community spread category, according to the CDC. That’s prompting a new state mask mandate that goes into effect tomorrow morning in a dozen counties, including Washoe. Carson and Churchill counties are also effected. Since the start of this month, new cases of COVID-19 in Washoe Cunty have tripled to 69 on a seven-day moving average. Hospital capacity stands at 63 percent.
