Gardnerville man killed in motorcycle crash

A Gardnerville man is dead in a motorcycle crash in Pershing County. Troopers say 42-year-old Daniel Torrez was heading west on I-80 when his Harley left the side of the road and overturned Sunday. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Bicyclist struck, killed in Sparks identified

We now have the name of a bicyclist who was struck and killed in Sparks. 59-year-old Artemio Arriaga-Olivia of Sparks was hit by a turning motorist at Oddie and Rock Boulevards Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
