A teen camper who went missing over the holiday weekend has been found dead. 17-year-old Haydn Miguel of Minden was found at the bottom of a steep cliff found near the West Carson River drainage area on the east side of Lost Lakes in the El Dorado National Forest Monday.

We now have the name of a man who died at Lahontan Reservoir last week. He is 25-year-old Joel Schwarz of Round Mountain. Churchill County deputies say Schwarz slipped on a ladder as he tried to climb into a boat and hit his leg on a moving propeller. He died at the scene.

Smoke from the Beckwourth Complex Fire in Plumas County will continue to permeate the air in the Reno area. The complex fire-made up of the Dotta Fire and the Sugar Fire have burned nearly 1,200 acres so far. Neither fire is near containment at this time. A man is killed in a shooting near Mira Loma Park. Reno police were called to South McCarran Boulevard Sunday night. Police say they arrived to find two people there-one of them had been shot. That person was hospitalized and later died. Police believe the fatal shooting was in self-defense.

Two massive fires combine in Plumas County. The U.S. Forest Service says the Dotta Fire and the Sugar Fire near Beckwourth have combined to become the Beckwourth Complex Fire. A pedestrian is seriously hurt after being hit by a vehicle near the Sparks Marina. It happened on July 4th. Police say a woman was crossing the 400 block of Howard Drive when she was struck. She was hospitalized. Police say speed and alcohol weren’t factors in the crash.
