The Garson Fire is approaching full containment. The U.S. Forest Service says the fire, burning south of the Mogul exit on I-80 is 95 percent contained. A hand crew remains at the scene to monitor for hot spots. The fire burned just under 70 acres.
Two families are displaced after a fire in northwest Reno. Firefighters were called to an area just south of McQueen High School last night. They say one structure-containing several units-burned. Everyone made it out safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
