Bridge Jumper from Reno Drowns

A bridge jumper from Reno is dead after drowning at a California reservoir Wednesday afternoon. According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a possible drowning at Lake Britton just after 4 p.m. Video showed the Reno man jumped off the bridge, attempted a flipping maneuver before landing awkwardly in the water. Just before 8 p.m., search crews found the man’s body under about 37 feet of water. Police have not identified the man.
