The Washoe County School District submits a balanced budget after a school year unlike any other. The district’s CFO tells The Reno Gazette-Journal they got additional per-pupil funding from the state and a mining tax will generate $85 million for public education. The district is also just beginning to discuss how to spend $77 million in COVID relief funds.
