Nevada settles a lawsuit with a Dayton church over the limiting of church services during COVID. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the state will pay $175,000 to Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley after the church challenged Governor Sisolak’s 50-person limit on indoor worship at the height of the pandemic. The church argued it was treated more harshly than casinos and other businesses that were subject to a portion of their fire code occupancy. The six-figure settlement will come out of a special state fund that pays off legal debts.
