Nevada Sees Increase in Registered Voters

Nevada elections officials reported a slight increase in registered voters in May, adding a little more than 11,200 people to the state’s voter rolls. Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reported that nearly three-quarters of the new registrations were nonpartisan. Democrats saw a net loss of 96 registrations and the Republican Party’s numbers decreased by 475. Cegavske says the reduction in registered Democrats and Republicans came amid routine voter list maintenance run by the counties.
