Carson City sheriff’s deputies are looking for two inmates who escaped police custody over the weekend. Sheriff Ken Furlong says two men were working in the kitchen when they jumped a fence while taking out the trash. Matthew Marizza of Sparks and Cody Abernathy of Gardnerville were last seen on the east side of the Carson River. Marizza is doing time on grand larceny charges while Abernathy is doing time on drug and weapons charges.
