A Carson Valley man, who’s both a trauma surgeon and a restaurateur is running for governor. Fred Simon, 68, will seek the Republican nomination. He owns Kristopher’s Ristorante in Minden. In his announcement, he criticized Governor Steve Sisolak for restricting constitutional rights during the COVID-19 pandemic.
