4 Washoe Co. residents test positive for COVID variant from India

Four Washoe County residents test positive for a coronavirus variant coming from India. The four cases involve two men and two women, ranging in age from 29 to 69 years old. None of them have a history of travel, though one person works with people who do travel. Scientists are still studying how the double mutant strain may differ in terms of transmissibility and how the vaccine reacts to it. Reports say the strain was first identified in the U.S in a Santa Clara, California resident.
