The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is taking aim at illegal target shooting. They’re reminding you that Washoe County only allows rifle and pistol shooting in non-congested areas. They point to an area south of Golden Eagle Regional Park where it is legal to target shoot. But they say hikers often call authorities thinking it isn’t. Target shooters should also always be aware of weather conditions and fire risk.
