NV Mobile vaccination clinics switch from J&J to Pfizer amid nationwide ‘pause’

Mobile vaccination clinics in the state that were using the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine have switched to the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. The switch is due to CDC and FDA recommendations to pause vaccine administration of J&J after a very small number of blood clots-six cases out of nearly 7 million doses administered were identified in women ages 18 to 48. Service at the mobile units is walk-up and on a first-come first served basis.
