More than a dozen new cases of the UK variant strain of COVID-19 have been identified in Washoe County. Washoe County says one person attended a large gathering of more htan 70 people from multiple states. Health officials say two of the 13 new cases are also linked to that party. Another case had traveled to Florida recently while four cases are linked to a youth sports team, according to the health district. The other cases remain under investigation.
