Expanded Eligibility Starts Next Week

Expanded eligibility begins Monday for Nevadans 16 and older with an underlying health condition. Local pharmacies will be administering the vaccines to this group including at Smith’s, Walgreens and Walmart. People who fall under this category should go to NVCOVIDFighter.org for information on where and how to make appointments.

Vaccinations open to Nevadans 16+ with certain medical conditions

Starting Monday, Nevadans 16 and older with underlying health conditions are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Several moderate and high risk medical conditions are included in the designation like cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, and obesity. Those who fall into these groups are encouraged to schedule an appointment through a local pharmacy.

NV’s COVID-19 positivity rate drops below 5%

Nevada’s COVID-19 positivity rate has fallen below 5%. That’s a significant milestone in the state’s battle against COVID-19. The World Health Organization recommends that’s positive tests be below 5% for two weeks before reopening. New lane, ramp closures affecting Spaghetti Bowl travel

New lane and ramp closures are expected this week in the Spaghetti Bowl construction zone. Work crews will have Vassar Street reduced to one lane in each direction between Harvard and Terminal ways through March 26th. Drivers should use Villanova Drive as a detour.
