Nevada loses 5,000+ lives to COVID-19

Nevada marks more than 5,000 lives lost due to coronavirus. The death toll Thursday comes just one day before the anniversary of when the first cases of COVID-19 were detected in the state. Governor Steve Sisolak has ordered all flags to fly at half-staff to honor the lives lost since the start of the pandemic.

2 men arrested in home invasion in Spanish Springs

Two men are arrested on burglary and home invasion charges. Police say Alexander Weakly-Diaz of Reno and Michael Griffin of Gardnerville are accused of breaking into a Spanish Springs home by shattering a window. Capacity on school buses is rising

Soon, more students will be able to ride on school buses in Washoe County. Capacity on school buses has risen from 50 to 66%. That translates to an increase of between eight and 12 students per bus. Students are still required to wear masks while on-board the school bus.
