A Reno man is convicted of robbing two stores at gunpoint. Edward Knight was found guilty of hitting a Sparks liquor store and a convenience store on back-to-back days in July of 2019-using a gun in each robbery. At sentencing in June, he faces significant prison time.
Another person is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting on S. Virginia Street. Further investigation led to the arrest of a second suspect, Yahir Bernal-Rodriguez, on Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness.

A new CDC study says nine of 10 people who their first COVID-19 vaccine shot are getting the second. The study of 12.5 million vaccinations nationwide, found that in Washoe County more than 97% of people are coming back for their second dose.
Nevadans 55 and older with certain health conditions are now eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine at local pharmacies. A 19-year-old is charged with murder in a shooting Saturday on South Virgnia Street. Police say Fabian Bernal opened fire on a vehicle, shooting a man inside it. That man later died at the hospital.
A 23-year-old man is charged in connection with a shots fired case in Spanish Springs. Police say Kyler Acker fired shots into a home on Martell Place this morning. No one was hurt.
