Reno man convicted in 2 armed robberies

A Reno man is convicted of robbing two stores at gunpoint. Edward Knight was found guilty of hitting a Sparks liquor store and a convenience store on back-to-back days in July of 2019-using a gun in each robbery. At sentencing in June, he faces significant prison time.

2nd Suspect in Custody

Another person is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting on S. Virginia Street. Further investigation led to the arrest of a second suspect, Yahir Bernal-Rodriguez, on Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness.
