Man sentenced in Lovelock arson

A man gets at least a decade behind bars for starting a fire that destroyed three buildings in downtown Lovelock. Oscar Cruz-Gomez was convicted of three counts of arson in connection with the November 2019 fire that destroyed Pershing’s Pub, a law office, and a bookstore. Damage was estimated at nearly $2 million. Gomez was ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution.
