A man gets life in prison for the death of a baby in Elko. 25-year-old Nathan O’Dell pleaded guilty to a county of first-degree murder by child abuse. The Elko Daily Free Press reports O’Dell called 911 last May to report a 7-month-old child, he was caring for, wasn’t breathing. A judge also ordered O’Dell to pay $129,000 in hospital costs.
