More homes are coming to Reno. Reno City Council approved the Canyons housing community above Damonte Ranch in a vote 5-2 Wednesday. Mayor Hillary Schieve says the project is needed to add housing options for the city’s growing population. Critics say the area already floods and they worry about the protection of wild horses that roam that area.
