Hospitalizations from COVID-19 fall in Washoe County

Washoe County added two COVID-19 deaths for a total of 635. The latest deaths involved a woman in her 60s and a man in his 70s-both had underlying health conditions. The county added 38 new infections and more than 250 recoveries Thursday. Hospitalizations also fell to 59 persons.

WCSO vehicle involved in hit-and-run crash in Sparks

A Washoe County Sheriff’s Office vehicle is involved in a hit-and-run crash. Sparks police say the deputy’s vehicle collided with what they believe was a white pick-up truck at Pyramid Way and McCarran Boulevard yesterday-and the pick-up truck fled. No one was hurt.

Lovelock couple charged in CA murder

A Lovelock couple is tied to a murder in California. Mario Rostro the Third and Heather Montgomery were charged with being accessories to the murder of Trevon Perry in March of last year. Perry’s remains were found in Riverside in June. They’re being extradited to California to face the charges.

Reno 8 Motel to become Reno Super Gr8

The Reno 8 Motel is getting a major facelift. Common Ground Development, which buys distressed properties, took over the 28-unit motel and seeks to turn it into the Reno Super Gr8, marking the first of its kind in Nevada. KOLO-TV reports they aim to provide temporary housing for people in transition.
