2 relatives dead after dispute in Minden

Two people are dead in as shooting in Minden. Douglas County deputies were called to La Mirada Court for reports of shots fired Monday night. Inside a home, they found two men-relatives of one another, dead. Witnesses tell police the two had been fighting before they heard the gunshots.

Reno Rodeo returning this June

The Reno Rodeo will make a comeback this June after taking last year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets went on sale Monday. Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority CEO Charles Harris says there’s optimism for travel in the second half of this year with coronavirus cases falling and more people being vaccinated.

As COVID restrictions ease, UNR to stay on current path

Despite restrictions easing in Nevada, UNR won’t be changing up its plans for the rest of the semester. President Brian Sandoval says they’ll continue remote learning for classes with 35 students or more. Other classes are a mix of remote and in-person learning. A virtual commencement is also planned for May 14th.
