Sustainable salmon farm coming to Pershing County

A salmon farm is coming to Pershing County. West Coast Salmon AS, based in Norway, aims to serve fresh and sustainably raised Atlantic salmon to the West Coast. Their facility off the Cosgrave exit off I-80 would produce up to 50,000 tons of fish and use primarily renewable energy sources.

Vaccines Could be Delayed

Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services is warning that some expected vaccine deliveries may be delayed this week due to severe weather impacting much of the country. Nevada Health Response tweeted Monday afternoon that they were “monitoring closely and working with health districts and pharmacies that may be affected.”

Police: Fight between neighbors ends with 1 dead in Reno

One person is dead after gunfire rang out following a dispute at the Rosewood Park Apartments in Reno. Neighbors tell police say they heard two neighbors fighting then several shots last night. Police say both neighbors exchanged gunfire, and one was killed. The investigation is ongoing.
