South Lake Tahoe Police say a convicted felon is in custody after a hours-long standoff on Alder Avenue. Police say 55-year-old Scott Nevin drove from Santa Cruz County to his residence in Tahoe after a search warrant was executed on his Santa Cruz County home. Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office found 43 weapons, high capacity magazines and tactical vests with Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patches on them in Nevin’s Santa Cruz County home. Nevin was reportedly out on bail on 50 felony charges and had numerous warrants for his arrest.
