The EPA has removed a submerged boat that may have been leaking oil into Lake Tahoe. The 40-foot cabin cruiser that had sunk 300 yards off sore from Pope Beach Road in South Lake Tahoe. They say the boat had been stripped and was in the process of being refurbished when it sunk in high waves in mid-January. The Reno-Gazette Journal reports the boat’s owner is dead.
