Washoe County health officials are pleading for patience with thousands on a wait-list to get the coveted COVID-19 vaccine. The CDC says Nevada has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country, with just over 3 percent of Nevadans having been vaccinated as of January 16th. Only Alabama ranks lower. Data shows just over 107,000 vaccines have been administered in the state. Local health districts can vaccinate about 1,000 people per day. In Washoe County, 1,000 were vaccinated Thursday with 322 of the doses administered being second shots.
