El Dorado County to extend stay-at-home orders

South Lake Tahoe and Truckee won’t be exiting regional stay-at-home orders after all. While hospital capacity has improved, El Dorado County has extended the orders due to projections showing coronavirus spread may get worse due to the holidays. The order prohibits gatherings, restricts retail at 20 percent and doesn’t allow for motel stays that aren’t for essential business.

California has surpassed 25,000 coronavirus deaths since the start of the pandemic. They’ve also identified three more cases of the variant, more contagious strain of coronavirus. The second case known in the US was found in a San Diego man.
