Douglas Co. deputies see significantly lower calls for service on New Year’s Eve

It appears a good number of people may have abided by stay-at-home requests in Douglas County this New Year’s Eve. Deputies say they definitely saw a decrease in the number of calls for service in Stateline compared to last year. They made five arrests and say they saw the lowest number of celebrants since the early 1980s. It also marked the first time Highway 50 wasn’t closed in decades due to celebrants on the street.
