Washoe County adds five COVID-19 deaths for a total of 573. The latest deaths involve four men in their 70s and 80s and a woman in her 90s. All had underlying health conditions. Washoe County added 68 new cases-that’s the lowest since late October — and nearly 200 recoveries.
The Quad County’s death toll from COVID-19 rises slightly. A man from Carson City in his 70s has succumbed to the virus, bringing the death toll to 169. The area added 17 new cases and 85 recoveries.
Meantime, the state set a single-day record for COVID-19 deaths, coming in at 71 Wednesday.
