The Regional Information Center says 18-hundred seniors in Washoe County have been randomly selected to get the COVID-19 vaccine this week. Of those, 400 are underserved seniors who are on public assistance. Those who signed up to get on the waiting list should check their emails, especially the spam folder, to see if they received instructions on setting up an appointment. There’s no timetable on when the next round of vaccinations for seniors will begin-it all depends on how much vaccine the state gets from the federal government.
