The Washoe County Health District received more than 3,600 doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. The vaccine is set to be distributed to health care workers as soon as Wednesday, according to health district staff. Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine requires two dosages before it becomes effective. FDA advisers are set to meet on Thursday to greenlight the second version of the vaccine from drugmaker Moderna.
