Reno police are warning about a kidnapping phone scam. They say victims are getting calls saying someone in their family has been kidnapped, oftentimes, they say it’s the victim’s child. The caller demands ransom in exchange for the family member’s safety. Police say if you get this call hang up or use voice mail to screen your calls.
