Second Judicial District Court Judge Egan Walker has tested positive for COVID-19. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Walker was hospitalized at Northern Nevada Medical Center where he’s expected to recover from the virus. The courthouse has been closed to the public, so Walker’s not been there in at least a month.
State health officials facing a backlog in contact tracing abilities due to a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases are unveiling a new way they hope to get to people faster.
