New wind warning signs are going up in the North Valleys. NDOT says a new system being installed along US 395 North will flash when wind gusts exceed 45 miles per hour. News 4 reports this system isn’t as sophisticated as what exists in Washoe Valley. That system along I-580 can actually detect vehicles over 9 ft. tall that aren’t abiding by wind restrictions.
