A Fallon nursing home is responsible for the majority of Churchill County’s COVID-19 deaths. 14 residents of Highland Manor have died while 19 people total in Churchill County have died from COVID. The facility has seen an outbreak of 69 cases among staff and residents-that accounts for about half of its residents and 33 percent of its staff. The facility’s administrator tells News 4 they’re conducting mandatory screenings – every four hours on residents – and staff are wearing the proper personal protective equipment.
