Douglas County’s Clerk/Treasurer is resigning. Kathy Lewis’s resignation is effective this Friday. In her departure, Lewis says she’s proud to have served the citizens of Douglas County during this past “challenging” election. She’s moving on to take a District Accountant position with the East Fork Fire Protection District. The board will discuss filling the vacancy at its next meeting Thursday.
