Authorities say a northern Nevada sheriff’s deputy is recovering from a gunshot to the face and a parolee from California and a woman who was with him are jailed on felony charges after an exchange of gunfire during a traffic stop in Gardnerville.Sgt. John Lenz was being treated at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for a facial wound, and Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley issued a statement saying he was confident that Lenz will recover.
