It’s too soon to say whether gatherings for Christmas will impact the state’s COVID-19 numbers, but task force director Caleb Cage says he’s expecting some level of surge like what we saw tied to Thanksgiving. He says because of that no changes will be made to the statewide pause and its accompanying restrictions for New Year’s. The state’s positivity rate remains at just under 20 percent.
