The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is putting the Detention Facility in lockdown Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22, 2020 for an intense deep cleaning.The 353,000 square foot facility will undergo a professional three-step disinfection, protection, and certification process. The aerosol disinfectant, applied with a mister, kills 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and molds including COVID-19. Due to the lockdown all visiting and programs are canceled for Saturday and Sunday.
