Police investigate Reno stabbing

Reno Police are investigating a stabbing. Police were called to a vacant lot near Kietzke Lane and Linden Street late Monday morning. Police say the suspect and the victim likely knew each other and were fighting over property when one of them was stabbed. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.

Man arrested in Sparks standoff

A man is arrested after a standoff in Sparks. Andrew Morin was taken into custody after police say he attacked another man with an axe. He surrendered at the home on Sullivan Lane near I street after about two hours.

1 dead in wrong-way crash on I-80

One person is dead in a wrong-way crash. It happened Sunday along I-80 near Nevada Pacific Parkway. Troopers say a pick-up truck crossed from westbound to eastbound and struck another pick-up truck head-on. A second person was hospitalized with serious injuries.

CA man arrested for financial crimes in Washoe County

A California man is arrested on charges of embezzlement, identity theft, and creating a fake credit card lab. John Lain’s arrest by Washoe County sheriff’s deputies is the result of a seven-month long investigation into crimes in the county, in Reno, Sparks, Susanville, and Truckee.

Washoe Co. breaks COVID-19 record for 2nd straight day

Another day, another COVID record in Washoe County. The county added 835 new cases Sunday-the highest ever. The previous record came just the day before on Saturday, when we saw 817 cases. Five more deaths were also reported for a total of 241. More than 300 persons recovered.
