WCSD implements COVID-19 tracking tool

Washoe County has implemented a COVID-19 tracker similar to what’s being done in Lyon County schools. The district has at least four schools that have temporarily moved to full remote learning due to COVID-19. At least 40 schools have active cases. 2 hospitalized after Sparks crash

Two people are hospitalized after a crash in Sparks. The NHP says it happened at McCarran and Nichols boulevards Tuesday. Police say one vehicle failed to stop at a red light and struck another car. Impairment is not suspected in the crash.

Deputies: Man, woman found dead in Mono Co. were murdered

We’re learning more about the bodies of two people found a snow plow driver across the state line. Investigators say the man and woman found along U.S. 395 in Mono County were murdered. Their bodies were found north of Bridgeport Monday. They haven’t been identified.

Carson Tahoe Health is putting out a mask-ask. They’re looking for homemade masks and head coverings-even the cloth kind you can make at home-for hospital staff. The homemade masks help extend the life of medical grade masks.
