El Dorado County is seeing some of its highest COVID-19 numbers since the start of the pandemic. Over two days, health officials reported 42 new cases–20 of which are in the Tahoe area. Five residents are hospitalized in the ICU. Of the new cases, 27 are between the ages of 18 and 49, and five are kids 17 and under.
