Mobile Home Fire Total Loss

A mobile home was destroyed Saturday in a fire that burned off Interstate 80 in Storey County, according to the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. The home, which was located near Canal Road, was considered a total loss. The fire spread to the wildland, but burned just 1/4 of an acre. No one was injured.

Police make arrest in hit-and-run in Reno

Police arrest a person, who they say was behind the wheel of a hit-and-run near the Peppermill Casino. Police say it happened last night on Wrondel Way where a pick-up truck collided head-on with another truck-pushing that truck into a parked car. The victim was hospitalized.
