Douglas County Commissioners vote to increase enforcement on vacation rentals in Tahoe rather than restrict the number of overall rentals. Instead of capping rentals at 725, the board says it will hire a code enforcement officer and establish an appeals board. County manager Patrick Cates called it a great first step.
