Active COVID-19 cases in Washoe County shatter record

Active COVID-19 cases in Washoe County stand at more than 15-hundred-breaking a record set earlier this month. That and other data has Governor Steve Sisolak concerned by what he’s seeing. He says there’s been an “alarming” rise in hospitalizations due to COVID-19, though he cautioned we’re not yet approaching capacity. But he says with flu season on the approach, everyone must play their part to curb spread of the virus.

Meantime, Tuesday, Washoe County saw no new deaths from COVID-19, but added 143 cases and 51 recoveries.
