Sparks Police are warning about a possible scammer. They say someone, claiming to be a representative from an alarm company, knocked on a door on the 18-hundred block of “H” Street last week to check the homeowner’s alarm system. Police say the resident let the person inside, who then asked for the alarm code as well as the resident’s social security number and financial information. The person left after the woman said her son would be arriving soon. Police remind you to never let strangers into your home and never give them personal information.
