A new study links wildfire smoke to hospital visits for patients with asthma. 2 News reports the Desert Research Institute, Renown, and the Washoe County Health District teamed up to conduct the study of airborne particles from wildfires. It found that visits to urgent care centers and hospitals in Reno for asthma patients rose six percent over a six-year period compared to days with similar pollution levels from non-wildfire sources.
